Owners and Operators
Rob & Linda Kuzy are originally from NJ and are co-owners of Storm Guard of Chapel Hill (along with Rob’s brother, Mike Kuzy). Rob & Linda met at Calvin Klein Cosmetics in 1987 (later becoming Unilever Cosmetics International). They married in 1990 & worked there together for over 15 years. Linda’s background at UCI was Finance, Payables and Operations. Rob’s background was in Supply Chain. Linda left the fragrance business to stay home in 2001 to raise their son Alex and daughter Mackenzie. They moved to Chapel Hill, NC in 2006 and later purchased the Storm Guard of Durham Chapel Hill franchise in May 2014. Rob’s brother, Mike, joined the company in Nov 2014, and they've been committed to building the brand, one neighborhood at a time, focusing on superior customer experience and being a company you trust!
Co-Owner / Operator
Michael Kuzy, one of the co-owners of Storm Guard of Durham Chapel Hill, relocated with his family from New Jersey to join forces with his brother and sister-in-law in establishing their business. With a diverse background spanning sales, marketing, and management, Michael brings invaluable expertise to our team. His primary focus lies in cultivating strong relationships between homeowners and insurance providers, ensuring smooth and efficient processes for our clients. Beyond the professional realm, Michael finds joy in botany, indulging in the intricate details of plant names and histories. As a dedicated family man, he treasures spending quality time with his loved ones, relishing every moment as both a caring father and a doting grandfather. Michael’s multifaceted skills make him a pivotal asset to our team.
Sales Representative
Rachael Kuzy is an integral part of Storm Guard of Durham Chapel Hill where she helps navigate homeowners throughout the process of replacing their roof utilizing their insurance policy. She has won numerous awards for her work, including the Key Contributor Award consecutively from 2017-2022, and National Sales Leader from 2021 to 2023 achieving over 2 million dollars annually. Rachael was born and raised in South Jersey and has since started a family of her own in Durham with her husband, daughter, son, and 90-pound Boxer; Gronk. Rachael has a love for hiking, eating, and traveling. She is family oriented which gives her great pride in seeing the tremendous achievements the locally owned, Durham Franchise has received since joining the team. She is privileged to work so closely day in and day out with her Aunt, Uncle, and Father, who are the owners and her super cool brother-in-Law, James. Rachael is an experienced professional in the roofing industry with a successful track record of sales, awards, and customer satisfaction. Her dedication to customer service is represented through her values; under promise and over deliver. She has consistently outperformed the market standards and won the trust of her customers and the countless referrals.
National Sales Representative
Kim Pittman is a National Sales Rep at Storm Guard of Durham Chapel Hill, where she assists homeowners in navigating the insurance process to cover roof replacements. Her hard work and dedication to her customers have made her a two-time National Sales Rep of the Month in 2021 and 2022 and a two-time National Sales Leader, exceeding $1 million in both 2021 and 2022. She has been recognized with the Key Contributor Award for the years 2020, 2021, and 2022. Kim's values stem from her Asian upbringing where an important part of her life is looking after her aging parents. She brings these values of honesty, respect, loyalty, under promising and over delivering, and a customer centric approach to the business. Outside of work, Kim loves traveling to major cities on the east coast with her family. Kim comes from a military family and was born in Okinawa, Japan. She graduated high school in Jacksonville, North Carolina and used to climb roofs as part of her job. In a funny turn of events, while on a roof one day, Kim froze and had to call her Sales Manager to help her get down safely.
Inspector
With four years of dedicated service at Storm Guard of Durham Chapel Hill, James Branchini specialize in insurance-approved roof replacements and handling homeowners roofing concerns, consistently exceeding expectations by prioritizing customer satisfaction and going the extra mile to ensure their needs are met with integrity. James' strong relationships with local insurance adjusters streamlines processess and fosters trust, while his passion for building relationships allow him to cultivate lasting partnerships within the community.
Production Manager
Kyle Farison graduated high school in 2009 and started his employment journey working various roles in manufacturing. It was there that he learned 5S, lean manufacturing and continuous improvement. Kyle also has sales experience in the flooring business, providing clients with the best flooring options that fits their lifestyle. In 2020 he received the opportunity to bring his talents to Storm Guard of Durham Chapel Hill as a production team member where he strives to bring the best customer service to his clients and works to solve any problems that may arise. When Kyle is not making repairs or in the field, he loves to spend time at the beach or mountains with family and friends. He enjoys cooking/smoking on the smoker and preparing the food for people to eat. Kyle believes "If there is a will there will be a way. Always strive for change and greatness, always have an open mind, and learn every day."
Production Manager
Tyson Anderson is a skilled General Contractor and has been with Storm Guard of Durham Chapel hill since 2018. Boasting over two decades of expertise in custom home construction, he elevates our company with his experience and passion. Originating from North Carolina's mountainous region, he brings a distinctive Hillbilly Jargon, Southern charm and a love for horses to all that he does. With meticulous attention to detail, he ensures each roofing project is completed with precision and professionalism. Tyson is not just a contractor; he's an invaluable asset to our team.
Office Operations
Hello there! I'm Bobby Butler, and I've had the privilege of being a part of the Storm Guard of Durham Chapel Hill team since 2017. I graduated from Erwin High School in Erwin, NC, back in 1980. I also completed an Electronics Servicing course at Johnston County Community College. Over the span of my career, I have also completed other courses in Psychology, Law Enforcement, Business Management, and several different programming languages. Eager to serve my country, I joined the prestigious ranks of the US Air Force in 1982. During my time there, I loved performing the duties as a Security Police Military Working Dog Handler, contributing to the safety and security of our nation until 1989. My career path led me to embrace leadership positions in various manufacturing fields starting in 1992. Throughout my 25+ years in manufacturing, I've consistently championed the implementation of continuous improvement methodologies. Beyond my professional pursuits, you'll find me indulging in some of my favorite hobbies. Whether it's casting a line and fishing at the beach or hitting the road on my Indian or HD motorcycle, I'm all about embracing life's adventures. Oh, and did I mention? I'm a bit of a closet computer geek too—always looking for a good project to build. While I'm passionate about my work and my interests, my heart truly lies with my greatest treasures—my children.
Office Administrator
Hey there! I’m Hailey and I have been serving the great folks of Storm Guard of Durham Chapel Hill and their amazing customers as Office Admin since the end of October 2022. My position within the Storm Guard team has allowed me to utilize my educational background in Business Administration, as well as the customer service and clerical skills I have acquired over the previous 7+ years. My history in manufacturing has taught me the appreciation for quality & innovation, and couple of fun years working with children taught me, “life’s a garden, you gotta dig it”. Well, maybe that was Joe Dirt, but the point still stands; children sure do teach you to go with the flow. I know my babies keep me on my toes, but my world rises and sets with them, and somehow, I picked the best daddy for them too. We enjoy spending our time together whether it’s a family vacation to the beach/mountains, or just a weekend cooking out. Things come and go, but how you make someone feel and the memories you make with them lasts a life time.

Blah Dahnweih is a University of North Carolina graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Peace, War, and Defense. Throughout his academic journey at UNC, Dahnweih honed his expertise in a broad spectrum of subjects, ranging from International Relations to Criminal Justice, showcasing his versatile knowledge and analytical prowess. Notably, Dahnweih's commitment to excellence extended beyond the classroom, as he actively participated in Division I wrestling, demonstrating not only physical strength but also discipline and determination. His multifaceted background in International Relations and Criminal Justice equips him with a unique perspective and a deep understanding of complex issues, making him adept at problem-solving and critical analysis. Dahnweih's experience as a Division I athlete underscores his resilience, teamwork, and ability to thrive under pressure, qualities that are invaluable in a dynamic work environment like Storm Guard. With his diverse skill set and unwavering dedication, Blah Dahnweih has the potential to make meaningful contributions to the team at Storm Guard.
